THE MISSION

Made Inside was created around one simple belief: giving people practical skills and meaningful work opportunities can help change lives.

Inside prison, inmates are encouraged to work as part of the Ministry of Justice's "working week" programme, which is designed to help prisoners build routine, responsibility and gain employability skills while earning money.

Earning inside prison matters. Prisoners often need money to access everyday essentials such as phone credit, food, toiletries and other basic items that improve day-to-day life while in custody.

Made Inside provides a simple, practical way to do all that.

Through our one-day training programme, inmates learn:

* The fundamentals of the merchandise business
* Print-on-demand production
* How to use professional print press equipment

By the end of the day, participants become certified decorators — gaining a skill they can continue to use both inside prison and after release.

Merchandise production is an accessible skill that can be learnt quickly making it an ideal pathway into work and future employment.

For businesses, it is also an opportunity to make existing merchandise spend more meaningful. By choosing Made Inside, companies help fund training, create work opportunities and support rehabilitation.
